Cork disintegrated during extraction even with a Durand - my fourth failure in five years of use. Does not bode well. Port, however, a nice red colour, 55% opaque.

Very heavy tobacco scent on the nose, I would have thought it was Fonseca. But, not on the palate which had the characteristic cherry bakewell tart quality of the Warre line. Good but not wonderful finish.

Better. Still some tobacco but not so predominant. A morello cherry bakewell tart, not over- sweetened, and with the almond clearly showing. Longer, more interesting, drier than yesterday.

My co-taster said, "Delicious. Is there any more? Hoy, leave some for me!"

I think this bottle was very slightly flawed. But, it was still very good.

In still red wine I do not own very much Ridge or Musar. But, I drink lots of both. That is why I do not own very much. I have the same issue with Warre. I need to buy more of all three, so I have to hand a comfortable range of options.
