Around the edges of the glasses circles, the spacing of “Quinta de Vale da Figueira” and of “Quinta Vale Dona Maria” look a little odd.
Sackcloth and ashes. Fixed, thank you.
And I think there should be only one “n” in Dona Maria.

I was going to to mine the night before, so 24hrs sounds reasonable.
Reminder: (double-)decant this evening.

Dow has been double decanted. Have I missed the start time? I am planning for 6/6.30.

I plan to be at the Boot & Flogger around 17.00 and assume we're starting at 18.00 for 18.30.

The Martinez is the first bottle from a case opened earlier today, packed in cardboard sleeves. The Val da Figueira spent all but the last six months of its life in a Douro cellar.

CrR decanted. A single bottle purchased from a reliable merchant several years ago.

Ramos Pinto 1997 double decanted at 19:30 the day before. Not then tasted. Nose wonderful, youthful, intense blackberries and maybe a hint of fig. On nose alone, comparable with a F85 of similar age.

Noval and Silval both decanted

I was a bit apprehensive about the Noval as I've seen a couple of duff bottles in the past, but this one seems absolutely fine.

Taylor, Fonseca, Warre & Quarles Harris double decanted at 2000 last night.

Sandeman Vau & Burmester 0600 this morning - as they were in London and I wasn’t last night.

All good.

Both of these were tasted when double-decanted. The Martínez tasted a little baked and jammy, but not in a faulty way. The VF tasted like pure redcurrant juice!

I'm guessing that was one of the two cases you bought from me 13 years ago. The Noval is the first from a stash I bought 10yrs ago and the Silval the first from a case bought back in 2008 - we are such patient people!

Taylor and Fonseca are the first bottles from full cases I purchased EP from La Vigneronne on release. Have been in my cellar since.
