Mk48, decanted 13:30. Dark-red, 50% opaque. Three notes of Mk55 (Oct 2010, Feb 2016, Apr 2017) had it dark, and this too was dark. Dark must have been the mid-20C house style. Nose weird, like rotted meat and dark cherry. Palate had a matching weird red flavour, maybe like linoleum. Not liked. Overhearing a discussion of GEAG and AHB, I agreed with the mention of red liquorice.

Dark - still looked full of life. Nose of Terry's dark chocolate orange. On the palate, liquorice root at first. Still just about at peak and still powerful. Developed over the course of the evening in the glass. Minutes-long finish. Compelling port.

Decanted 13.45 and tasted 21.31. Lovely mature red colour, 50% opaque. Mature fruit nose, elegant and with a lovely fragrance. Beautifully balanced entry, big and chunky palate, full of flavour with toasted raisin. Burnt sugar on the aftertaste and a massive, long finish with burnt raisin, golden syrup and multiple other flavours. Fabulous finish. 93/100.

40% opacity, bronze-brown. Nose has mint/medicial hints. Soft and chewy, molasses with a tinge of bitterness. This is in fine shape.
