2000 Quevedo Garrafeira (bottled 2021)

Deep orange to red towards the edge. Only the tiniest bit darker than the 2000 colheita. Very similar on the nose, too, but with a density and complexity that isn’t otherwise present. The mouth has a wonderful round feel with well-balanced acidity and only minimal sugar. However, compared to the colheita there is a touch more fresh fruit and considerably more tannins. A more interesting wine than the colheita but not quite as interesting as the two 1994s. Drunk: Quevedo Garrafeira Virtual Tasting (Date: 2021-12-09)
