Nac: Thank you for placing my name on the in list. I checked with Jdaw, but doesn't have one to sell to me to adopt. What is the adoption £ on your Delaforce 1995?

My reply was misunderstood, perhaps because I misunderstood the question. I’m not willing to sell inventory to sit in somebody’s cellar. For adoption, sure, available.

I have two of the ’82s, two of the ’86s, but only one of the ’81 and ’84. Would it be mistaken to bring an ’82 and an ’86?

This event falls in the middle of the planned railway strike, which I suspect will go ahead. Assuming this is the case, then I'll be unable to get into London on Thursday & back home on Friday. Guess that others will be similarly impacted?

I'll leave it a few more days before making a final decision, but it's likely I'll postpone this.

Hello Nac. Thank you for keeping a pulse on the railway strike.

Yes, I too would be similarly impacted because I too am in the same boat that you're in, and I totally understand if it is postponed: I am living short term up in Lancaster, but my plan (up to this point before I learned of the impending railway strike), was for me to use my train ticket to arrive in London by train from Lancaster on Thurs 23 June midday, then return to Lancaster by train on Sat 25 June. However, I too just learned that both of those days are among 2 of the scheduled striking days, and I'm informed that even if I were to attempt arriving and departing on the in-between non-strike days, that there still may be cancellations nonetheless.

I'll watch this page as well, and thank you.

It would appear that the plans for the rail strike next week are now unlikely to change, so I'm going to postpone this event. Will look to reschedule for later in the year.

I would also love to join if there is space on the rescheduled tasting. I've got a decent range of LBVs going back quite a long way.

I no longer have the magnum of Taylor 1982 but I think the Reccua 1995 is still on the rack in Rutland.

Re: Aged LBVs - Thu 23 June @ B&F - Tue 5 March 2024

Post by nac »

Having just updated the Planner, there is quite a gap between events at the start of February and the end of March.

So...

I have booked the Red Room at The Boot & Flogger for Tuesday 5th March.

If you were previously on the list then please confirm your availability for this new date. Also please reconfirm what you still have to bring.

If you weren't on the list and want to attend please ask.

The original intention was to do pre-2000, so let's go with that again. If not enough bottles are forthcoming will extend.
