Double decanted at 21.00 and drunk at 19.00. Light red-gold colour, 30% opaque. Sweet and delicious nose of apricot jam! A wonderful texture on the palate, smooth and slightly thickened. Powerful and intense dried citrus zest which fills the mouth. Redcurrant jelly aftertaste and finish. A beautiful mature Vintage Port. Known to be 1970 vintage but blind with respect to the shipper this was guessed to be Fonseca. My wine of the night. 94/100.
Drunk 26-Apr-22. Double decanted 22 hours.
