Bought as a birthday present to myself from VWP.
PnP - a stunning golden orange colour, fading to pure gold at the edges.
Toffee, orange and nuts on the nose. A spiced cinnamon-citrus entry with dried Christmas pudding fruits; raisins, candied peel, etc. Toffee and nuts are abundant in the mid palate, along with a beautiful citric acidity that brings to mind naval oranges and tangerines. Butter and toffee dominate the finish which is long and delightful.
A very enjoyable port, not overly sweet and very nicely balanced.
