1963 Martinez

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

A gentle golden red, 40% opaque. Warm sunny days on the nose, ripe oranges picked from the sun-drenched tree. Big and confident on the palate with a good concentration of maraschino cherry and a delightful birch-sap woodiness on the late palate to add extra complexity. A great aftertaste; big bitter-sweet aniseed balls on the long grassy-ending finish. A wine which I very much liked. 92/100. Tasted 25-Jul-22. Decanting time not known.
