2012 Dow LBV

Popped & poured (into a decanter, for further analysis later on). Deep red, with a thin rim. A rather lovely - and pungent - nose of raspberries and other red fruits (mostly strawberries, with other red berries on the background). Noticeably young, but a very, very attractive nose. The mouth confirms the wine's youth. Tannins very much present, but with such finesse that they don't intrude on the experience. The acidity is great, really adds to it, giving it a welcome edge that complements the sweetness. Red fruit dominates the palate, followed by a bit of burnt sugar and something I'm having a hard time identifying (pomegranate, maybe?). I can't get over the acidity, well done Dow's.
This is an interesting LBV, I'd be curious to know if anyone's tried it yet (alas, no TNs on the site) and what they thought of it.
