1970 Andresen Colheita (bottled 2022)

A cask sample drawn about 6 hours before being tasted.

Andresen 1970 cask sample: A huge nose, complex with layers of vinagrinho, iodine, beefsteak tomato. Viscous on the palate, honey and acidity with deep and concentrated citrus fruits. Dry edge to the aftertaste, huge - no, monumental - fruit on the aftertaste before an infinitely lasting orange marmalade finish. What an amazing wine.  98/100. Tasted 14-Oct-22.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
