1974 Quinta da Corte Colheita (bottled 2011)

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

This was a wine which was made privately by the owners of Quinta da Corte (Pacheca & Irmãos) and was not part of the estate and stocks sold to Taylor and then to Royal Oporto.

Bottled in August 2011. Slightly smoky nose of butterscotch and caramelised orange. Smoky cinder toffee entry, caramelised orange; a rich and delicious mouthful of Port. Dry feel to the finish, rich cinder toffee and caramelised orange. Rich, delicious.  92/100. Drunk 14-Oct-22.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
