Bottled in 2019. Decanted earlier in the day. Young - but not baby young - Vintage Port; no brick tones but old enough to have shed all the purple and develop a wide rim. Lovely blackcurrant nose, generous fruit yet with a streak of bitterness. Less overt fruit on the palate than expected from the nose. The fruit is there, wrapped around generous tannins. Elegant and refined, not a powerful style. Showing a touch of candy on the aftertaste before a long, satisfying dark chocolate and dried blackcurrant finish. Gentle, light, but flavoursome. GEAG rightly noted a high proportion of Touriga Nacional in the blend. 90/100. Served blind, guessed to be Warre 2004 LBV. 90/100. Drunk 30-Aug-22.
