1944 Quinta da Devesa Colheita (bottled 2018)

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Bottled 2018. Dark chestnut brown with a green rim; 40% opaque. Stunning nose, with many layers of complexity. A touch of vinagrinho, honey and orange. Beautiful. Thick and dense texture, generous citrus oil, honey and balsamic. Complex. Long, generous, lingering honey finish. This is an amazing wine which makes you smile when you smell it and sigh when you swallow it. Fabulous. 95/100. Tasted 10-Feb-22. Pop 'n' pour.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
