Typical licorice and prune nose profile of Portuguese houses' vintage port
Really remarkably smooth palate majoring on the pruneaux fourees d'agen with some black currant overtones (rather than the reverse which is what you might otherwise expect at this age). Some chocolate tannins towards the finish but no real warmth - this is all cool fruit. Really seamless.
Really nice now. I respectfully doubt capacity to age very long term, but this is very pleasurable to drink.
