O-PORT-UNIDADE II

Post by Axel P »

Dear Portlovers,

after a rather delicious Vintage Port and a fantastic Colheita (still in the pipa) from 2013, I am thrilled to announce the second edition of the O-PORT-UNIDADE project. The aim is to bottle another joint Vintage Port from 2023 with most of the best producers in the Douro valley with a dedicated wine making team to look after the Port.

The treading&bottle party will take place on 22nd September in the Niepoort winemaking center in Vale Mendiz, most probably with the "who is who" in the Port world. If you are interested to join, please drop me a short pm

I’m really pleased to see this project still continuing! Need to make sure I get hold of a bottle of the new one.

If you missed out on getting the first edition Jacob, I have three dozen in bond (in cases of three) - could spare a case..
I may be drunk, Miss, but in the morning I shall be sober and you will still be ugly - W.S. Churchill

I did, indeed, and have only seen it for sale in Portugal after maxing out my suitcase allowance so if I could buy a case-of-three from you that would be excellent. I’ll send you a PM.

Have tasted it 3 times but not since 2018. My impression for what it is worth is that it is quite tannic and will last a long time… so 2053+ although I hope to enjoy one on my 80th in 2052 😃 🙏

So it won’t be ready until I’m gone. I.e., it should be allocated to a child. OK. Thank you for telling me.

Your attendance is required at my 80th in 2052 so please do your best to make it…
