Pop and decant and pour then given 20 mins in glass
98 per cent opaque purple juice
Blue fruit and cinnamon nose, quite restrained
Nice cool mouth feel with some slightly sullen South African plum flavours
Agen prunes and chocolate gingers late
Lovely balance
A very nice young vintage port, very pleasantly drinkable now but which will continue to please for a decade or two. Not one for old bones but let's not detract from its undoubted pleasures.

More violets on the nose.
A bit more blackcurrant heft on the mid palate.
Still remains a cool port although there's a bit of star anise warmth at the end of the finish now.
Maybe this will last longer than my snap prediction, although this bottle won't...
