2006 Warre Cavadinha

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Dark cherry red, narrow rim. Cherry and garrigue nose, a little subdued. Sweet palate, cloying at first but the acidity and tannins start to show on the mid palate. Some of the Warre elegance is struggling to show through but the wine is a little closed at the moment. Although drinkable today, it will be better in 5 years. 85/100. Tasted 21-Feb-23. Decanted 4 hours.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
