NV Quinta da Devesa Tawny 40YO (bottled 2019)

Quinta da Devesa 40YO Tawny, bottled in 2019. Deep brown honey colour, 50% opaque. A big and rich nose of iodine, honey and russet apple. A huge wine on the palate, honeyed yet with so much fruit, with grapefruit and brown sugar, with quince and bruised apple. Some bitter grapefruit on the aftertaste and a big finish, long and voluminous. Fabulous, fabulous Port. What an amazing wine. 95/100. Drunk 21-Feb-23. Open 1 hour.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
