1994 Dow

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Mature brick red, 90% opaque. Big garrigue and dried red fruit nose. Lovely texture, full of fruit with a very slightly baked tone. Tannins fully integrated, but the acidity is fresh and bright. Lovely baked fruit finish. Delicious, still young but now just starting in its drinking window. Very different in style and fresher than the Graham 1994 tasted alongside. 92/100. Tasted 21-Feb-23. Decanted 4 hours.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
