Third bottle from a very original OWC of 12 purchased from Seckford in January 2023. The first was had at home and the second at the 1st TPF Annual Awards, and I think both showed similarly when freshly opened.

“Imported and Bottled by J.G.THOMSON & CO. LTD., THE VAULTS, LEITH, Bottled Autumn 1962”

Level just above mid-shoulder; cork was a bit leaky and came out fairly easily.

Opened, decanted and poured (and mostly drunk) on 14th April 2023, but no note recorded at the time. The remains Vac-U-Vined and a final glass at +48 hours.

Still some good colour. Maybe 30-40% opaque, pale red with some brown hints.

Nose has faded a bit over the past two days and now the components are beginning to separate. Still has a very nice liquorice note.

Palate better than nose and still integrated. Definite Graham sweetness. Still some stewed fruit and a Sauternes-ish orange.

Quite nice, but much better two days ago. Drinking very well now, but maybe not one for the long term.
