NV Blackett Tawny 30YO (bottled 2019)

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Blackett 30yo tawny, bottled 2019. A deep and rich mahogany brown. Powerful râncio nose, lying over dates and beeswax. A smell to bring a smile of anticipation to your face. Surprisingly smooth and honeyed on the palate, soothing before a wave of acidity emerges to balance the honey. Rich and self-assured. Warm honey and dates, lemon and lime aftertaste and a long lime oil finish that delivers one wave of flavour after another. This is a fabulous tawny Port!  95/100.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
