NV Graham Tawny 40YO (bottled 2021)

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Graham 40yo, believed bottled in 2021. The first glass from the bottle. A very deep polished burnt ochre, 60% opaque. Superb nose, rich clover honey over a lime oil essence; big and rich! Smooth on the palate, honey impact but with a lovely citrus-tones acidity. The dark honey floats over the dates. Intense citrus oil on the aftertaste; big honey and cinder toffee finish. Great length. This is a big and punchy Port, full of self-confidence and delivers on its promise. 94/100. 10-Feb-23. Pop 'n' pour.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
