Decanted about 2h30m. A lovely cherry red colour, 50% opaque. Sweet, gently spiced, cherry on the nose; just so delicious. On the palate this has an elegance and finesse but is a mouthful of redcurrant jelly, so much fruit! Yet so poised and such fabulous balance. The redcurrant jelly dominates the aftertaste, but morphs from one set of flavours to the next on the long finish. This is just exquisite! I wish I had more — many, many more! 97/100.

The last glass from the decanter a couple of days later was not up to the standard of the first glass or two, with the wine having faded somewhat. Not one for a long (as in 3 day) decant.
