Email notifications ?

Has anybody got email notifications working from the forum, I must be missing something - I'm trying to get to a position where I get an email when a topic gets posted into but I can't get any form of email out of he system at all regardless of what I try.

Has anybody got an account set up so they do receive emails ?

I've triple checked all the spam folders it might land in

any advice would be great ...

There’s a lot of work going on in the background by those who know how, trying to ensure the annoying lack of access to the SQL database doesn’t keep happening.

Perhaps a by-product of the work has been to fix the email notification issue.

Well it's heading in the right direction but it's not there yet and it's not apparent just what combination of things generates email ... Sorting the issue of mySQL collapsing every so often would be really good tho ...
