T70. Palate of plastic candy: not good.

30% opacity, mature red-orange. Sweet sugary nose, caramel but also hints of something more astringent. Smooth, chewy fruit, apricot, mid-weight, short finish.

Bottled by Grants of St James. A lovely mature bronze colour. Lively and fresh on the nose, full of fruit; fruit which delivers a lovely palate with just a little heat showing. Bruised apple, golden sultana merge together on the tongue to give a lovely mouthful of dried fruit. A warm aftertaste, infused with menthol and leading to a little dried red fruit and a fresh cranberry finish. 93/100.
