An attractive mature brick red colour, 50% opaque. A little soapy fruit on the nose, accompanied by sweet redcurrant. Smooth fruit on the palate with a nice grip in the centre. Medium-weight but with a lovely honeyed redcurrant core. The fruit dominates the palate, the aftertaste and the finish - a finish which is full of candied redcurrant. A very attractive wine. 91/100. Tasted 13-Jun-23.
