2013 Quinta do Vesuvio

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Deep red, lost its youthful purple. Floral nose, nicely developed. Good entry, balanced with the fruit dominating at first. Nice tannins and a great freshness to the fruit, like slightly under-ripe bramble. A nice crunch to the fruit on the aftertaste, slightly sticky finish. Still dominated by the primary fruit. 90/100. Tasted 21-Feb-23. Decanted 4 hours.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
