I don’t like the default date formats supplied by phpBB, so use, in the required “PHP date()† format, “H:i D d M Y†, which appears as “20:51 Mon 14 Apr 2008†. Others are welcome to copy.
Edit: “G:i† is time in 24-hour format without a leading zero, “H:i† includes a leading zero, and is better. Hence this edit.
Date format: “H:i D d M Y†

While clearly not meaningless drivel, this was meaningless to me. I understood most of the words used but totally failed to understand the meaning of the whole or how to apply the concepts therein.
I clearly need to drink more port.

Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!

Alex,
Our pedantic friend is talking about the format in which dates and times appear on TPF. This is configurable for each user.
In your profile you will find a field named Date Format. In that field you will see a string of characters. These determine the format of how dates will appear on the Forum for you. If you replace those charachters with the string G:i D d M Y the dates will appear in the format 20:51 Mon 14 Apr 2008

To avoid confusion, Conky's emoticon is actually performing precisely the same task as is described in my earlier post. The only difference is that Conky's method is following the tried and tested approach used by British Bobbies for decades: if it doesn't do what you want, head butt it
