NV Quevedo Tawny 10YO (bottled 2022)

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Bottled in 2022 in 9cl for the Advent Calendar.

Deep red in colour, mature appearance; opaque centre with a medium rim. Dried fruit on the nose, a hint of liquorice and dried lavender. Poised on the palate, bringing dried red and black fruit and a little black liquorice on the mid-palate. Mouth-filling and satisfying. Some heat on the aftertaste gives way to a rich and sweet, slightly preserved dried red and black fruit. Satisfying and delicious thoroughly enjoyable.  89/100. Drunk 12-Feb-23. Decanted ½ hour.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
