1996 Quevedo Colheita (bottled 2023)

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Bottled in 2023 in 10cl for the 2023 advent calendar. An attractive polished redwood colour with a very wide rim. Roasted nuts and a touch of treacle on the nose, positively delicious. Beautifully balanced; burnt nougat and generous acidity on the palate with an overtone of coffee - plus hints of tannins. Long finish of toasted nuts and grapefruit oil. Lovely Port. 91/100. Drunk 30-Dec-23. Pop 'n' pour.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
