Please can you add me to the reserves? I am interested but have no '77s so would need to work out a plan to acquire some or adopt, and the associated costs.

I'm sure that adoption will be an option here ....

Of course but I'm aware that there will be plenty of owners of the '77 vintage who would want to be part of this tasting!

Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!

Think I've got Calem* (magnum only), Croft, Dow*, Fonseca*, Graham, Justerini & Brooks, Quarles Harris*, Royal Oporto, Sandeman, Taylor, & Warre (*=single bottles).

I have few ’77s; CEM has many, and also I have drunk very well from from CEM’s cellar. So the fair thing is to move me to first reserve, thus promoting CEM into the fourteenth seat.

right .... the Red Room is booked so this event is defiantly happening .....
For those of us who love the English language so much here is the missing 'definitely'

This is a Port tasting. We are not defiant revolutionaries; we are traditionalist scientists testing hypotheses.

I am all in favour of defiant port tastings. It smacks of cool rad street cred.
If I had left my device’s autocorrect, which substituted ‘defunct’, this would have read somewhat darker.

Of Producers that I don’t think have been offered yet, I can add RP and Calem (mag).

I am pretty sure I have one bottle left of the Ferreira (dumpy bottle), otherwise I think everything else would be matching things already out there. I’ll check and confirm.

And I just noticed that CK77 hasn't been offered yet - I have one of the late release bottles I can offer. Previous examples of this have not woo'd the crowds, so if something needs to give to keep the botlle numbers sensible, this could be a candidate.

I have the following in Mags for 77
Dow, Graham, Warre, Taylor, Smith Woodhouse, Gould Campbell, Quarles Harris, Calem
-----
I don't see an N in any of what has been listed so far and I definitely have Niepoort in bottle - lots of others too but will require searching through various stores.

It’s not my tasting so its co-ordinator will comment - but from my perspective if you just turned up with the Niepoort I for one would be delighted- it’s the one I haven’t ever got my paws on.

Since I am bringing the Niepoort VP, frankly it would be downright rude not to have the '77 Colheita too. So I'll bring that as well.
Do we have a general kick off time and what's the earliest time for room arrival?

I'll be there to help, I'll bring along a mag of 1977 Napa for pre-Port slurping as the clarets were very poor in that vintage.
