Yup. Warres were very good. Everything else, not so much.

Tasting was quite good fun though.

Very interesting, and a stunning result for Warre.

I thought the W81 LBV was the clear winner (could have been blind-guessed to be a D70 full Vintage), but others supported the ’79, and a score-draw felt like a fair reflection of the discussion.

Well that was a remarkable tasting. I am not sure we have ever had a ten port tasting where three wines got all the points.

This thread along with the tasting notes so far are fascinating and very enlightening! I wonder if the more modern LBVs from the likes of Sandeman and Quevedo might stand the test of time in a similar way...
