Gordon’s Old Wood Tawny, drawn from the cask. Drunk at Gordon's Wine Bar with Glenn Elliott. A very pleasant tawny reserve giving a satisfying sweet and fat dried fruit. 87/100. Drunk 15-May-24.

Gordon's "Old Wood" Tawny Port. Too dark to get a color note. Nose is pleasant and seems about like a 10 year old, or possibly older if stylistically Portuguese rather than English. Rich palate, but a bit flabby. Plenty of fruit but with a layer of extra wood notes probably derived from the rather small barrel it is kept in behind the bar. A nice glass for (IIRC) 6.50 GBP. 89 points.
