Hmm. This doesn't smell very nice. Soapy. Tastes okay though. May have been my glass.

Some nice fruit on nose, and a better palate. Quite good.

Nose: gentle fruit pote note
Palate: light on entry. Strawberries. Maybe caramel. Mid-palate has some gritty tannins and some muscular minerality. More strawberries on the finish which is decent but not massive. Good.

Delaforce 1977: Deep rose red colour, 40% opaque. A little dirty on the nose, but this blows off to reveal an attractive redcurrant and raspberry bouquet. Watery texture, simple but clean and well-focused fruit, ghostly tannins in the aftertaste. Pleasant. 85/100.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
