Smells horrid. Tastes of parma violet soap.

Fairly pale. Not much on the nose. Palate medicinal and odd. No.

Nose: caramel but also odd
Palate: Initial caramel but then that's washed away by a very unpleasant note that blunts everything. This might be not right, certainly for my tastes it isn't.

Royal Oporto 1977: light burnt ochre, 20% opaque. A little gentle fruit on the nose. Light and watery texture; a little orange on the palate. Nice persistence, but a light and uncomplicated wine. 84/100.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
