Heat damaged? Straw coloured and cloudy. A damaged bottle, the underlying wine arguably not unpleasant.

Mn77, neon orange soup, 10% opaque. Nose is not of Port. Palate soft; weird; light; just not Port.

Nose: orange citrus. Slightly nutty. Very different to its peers.
Palate: very different to everything else . More like an aged tawny, but not as sweet. Candied orange peel to open, some toffee then eucalyptus. Spicy finish. Intriguing.

1977 Morano, from Douro Wine Shippers & Growers. Orange in colour, turbid. Toffee and caramel on the nose. Looking maderised or light-struck. Cigarette ash and coffee on the palate. Pleasant, but weak.  81/100.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
