Pleasant but unexciting pale cloudy port.

30 % opacity, tan brown. End of note.

Nose: caramel and popcorn.
Palate: sharp eucalyptus and caramel on the palate. A little popcorn. Tastes more like a tawny, but not an enjoyable one.

Ducal 1977, from Douro Wine Shippers & Growers Association. Rose-gold colour, 20% opaque but full of sediment. Very little on the nose, just a hint of preserved cherry. Generous acidity on the palate, gentle tannins but rather dry. Apricot and white cherry aftertaste and finish. Fresh, inoffensive and while not a wine I’d ask to have refilled, I did finish the glass. 86/100. Decanted 6.5 hours. (As was the Morano at this tasting, also from Douro Wine Shippers & Growers.)
