Fonseca 1966. The darkest of the first 10 wines appearing on the tasting mat. Deep red, brick tone; 60% opaque. A fabulous nose, deeply concentrated dark fuit. So much promise... Sweet fruit on the palate, still quite a lot of youthful vigour - lots of cherry and dark chocolate. Bright cherry and dark chocolate finish with a wonderful malted undertone. 94/100. Tasted 23-Jul-2024.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
