Graham 1948. UK bottled by an unknown merchant. Decanted at 16.30, drunk at 19.10 Mature bronze colour, 50% opaque. Initially subdued but wakes with a swirl to reveal a fabulous nose of Christmas cake fruit and spices. Stunning! Smooth palate, but with less flavour on the palate than on the nose. Mature and just starting to dry out so dominated by the heat. Mature dried fruit and dried zest delivers a fragrant mouthful of secondary flavours. Long finish of dried fruit. Wonderful wine, despite the fact it may be starting to lose its fruit. 95/100. DrunkĀ 14-Aug-2024.
