2022 Graham Quinta da Tua Vinhas Velhas

A very interesting release, as a new single-quinta under the Grahams brand, and not just that but in this case also a premium "vinha vehlas" offering (following on from the previous premium 2020 Warre Vinha Vehlas which is stunning). The only previous release from Quinta da Tua of which I am aware (but have never tried) was the 1987 Cockburn Quinta da Tua, and I believe the the Symington family purchased the Quinta in 2006, ahead of their purchase of Cockburn itself, so it was highly fitting that we had the fortune to try the new 2022 Tua Vinha Vehlas wine following a wonderful tasting of other Cockburn vintages.

My tasting notes for that afternoon are rubbish; the wine was not, it was beautiful; I did manage to write that it was "Full of fruit, very fresh and clean flavour, very good potential", which I think is perhaps somewhat understated, and remember that it reminded me somewhat of the style of the 2011 Vesuvio Capela, so it would be very interesting to directly compare the 2022 Tua with the 2022 Capela. It will be very interesting to see how this matures.

Phil - great note! Would you mind adding an approximate date to your note so we, and future generations, will know how much bottle age the wine had when you tasted it?
