1922 Martinez

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Wine 9, Mz22. At that beautiful point of maturity, at its peak. Gloriously mature sweet fruit on the spiced nose. Smooth, rounded and just so well integrated. The palate is full of fruit yet the fruit is rich, sweet and spiced. Stunning aftertaste. Glorious Port, just perfect for drinking today. Just beautiful. 93/100. Drunk on 12-Dec-2024 at the 2024 Port Forum Christmas Tasting of The Unknown Shipper and His Peculiar Friends.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!

Browning. Gravy nose. Moderate. Fair to say my experience was very different from Alex.
