1950 Cockburn

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Wine 11, Cockburn 1950 bottled by Tanners of Shrewsbury. Sweet. Decanted 2 hours. The nose is surprisingly dense and incredibly spicy. Fully mature on nose and palate, sweet bramble fruit offset by warm nutmeg and clove. Bright ginger and clove infused bramble jelly finish. Glorious mature Port. 93/100. Drunk on 12-Dec-2024 at the 2024 Port Forum Christmas Tasting of The Unknown Shipper and His Peculiar Friends.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
