As organised by George G., on Monday 10th February 2025, Some of the usual folks gathered in the Boot & Flogger, for a horizontal of 2000s.

Woe betide! What has become of us‽ A horizontal of Port from this century. Yes yes, the world has other disasters afoot, but this disaster is afoot here: what has become of us‽

An odd (as in only one of) bottle purchased from WineOwners in March 2020.

G00. Dark dark red, 90% opaque. Rich big and soft, and liked.

Dark. Cool clean palate that captures the richness of the house. Lots of mocha tannins on the finish still.

G00: Dark rose red, 90% opaque. Fragrant nose, a lovely combination of bright fruit and floral perfume. Plenty of dark cherry fruit and black chocolate on the palate. Sweet grip on the aftertaste, lingering black cherry finish. Really very good, but needs another 20 years to hit its peak. 94/100
