As organised by George G., on Monday 10th February 2025, Some of the usual folks gathered in the Boot & Flogger, for a horizontal of 2000s.

Woe betide! What has become of us‽ A horizontal of Port from this century. Yes yes, the world has other disasters afoot, but this disaster is afoot here: what has become of us‽

SV00. Dark red, 80% opaque. Black pepper, dark plums, maybe too much mid-palate heat. In good shape, and as good as a its big sister.

Palate more fruited than the Sandeman. Rather nice, actually.

SV00: Substantial heavy sediment in the glass. Mature tone to the colour, 90% opaque. Fresh cranberry on the nose, sweetened and fragrant. Sharp palate, good grip with good depth of fruit giving a very nice palate; quite a lot of menthol on the aftertaste, followed by a long liquorice Pontefract cake finish. 88/100.
