1984 Graham Malvedos

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

1984 Graham Malvedos. Dark brick red colour, 80% opaque. Jellied red fruit on the nose. Gentle and inoffensive jellied red fruit with a backbone of bitters. Pleasant lingering bitter red damson finish of good length. 86/100. Guessed to be WC84, was GM 84. Tasted 19-Feb-2025.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!

I don't believe that this bottle was one of the recent library releases.

Lovely light garnet, paling rim. Spice on nose. Cherries on palate. Rather good.
