Hallelujah! I've finally had a good bottle of this.

Color: Garnet, Rim: Pale Red, Meniscus: Thin, Weight (Viscosity): Medium, Nose: Candied Jellies, Charred Wood, Cigar Ash, Pepper, Taste: Boysenberry, Charred Wood, Chocolate (Milk), Christmas Spices, Cinnamon, Leather, Pepper, Acidity: Little, Mid-palate, Tannins: Soft, Gentle, Mid-palate, Late, Sweetness Level: Medium, Early, Mid-palate, Finish: Long, Smooth,

Other Notes: 7 1/2 hour decant. Slightly protruding cork with some mold on top. Clean decant with a fair bit of residue. Fully integrated. Mature Port that's on a nice plateau. It's a beautiful Port, that's smooth and drinking beautifully. This is my third or possibly 4th bottle of the 1977 Taylor's and I finally had one that is better than average. I would give this 95 points.

Great news! This is a great wine when you have a good bottle.

Now that I've finally had one that was in good shape, I agree wholeheartedly.
