An emergency was declared for Monday 14th April 2025, at the Boot & Flogger.

A 1977 was proffered, so another was, so another was, and the planning attracted towards an evening of 1977s. This is good.

A 12bt OWC from WineOwners in March 2020.
Decanted 0815-0830 on morning of the tasting. In decanter for approximately seven hours before going back into the bottle.
Capsule pretty good and hiding some old (?) seepage. Cork a bit loose but otherwise all good.

Lighter end of the colour spectrum, 30% opaque. Lighter end of the spectrum of taste too, with an odd note of lemon or lemonade.

It became clear that this was lightly corked.

Sandeman 1977. Mature brick red colour, 50% opaque. Slightly musty cardboard on the nose, unpleasant. Similar tainted palate, but not as badly as the Dow. NR.
