1985 Graham

Post by jdaw1 »

As organised by Neil C., some regulars and at least one first-timer gathered at the Boot and Flogger to taste 1985s at Forty.

G85, glorious red, 60% opaque. Soft red fruit; strong grape-pip mocha bitterness. Actually good Port, given an HM by me, but not great Port.

40% opacity, mature red. Rish and full, spicyness, concentrated redcurrants.Syrupy. I wrote "nice", which it was, and I gave it half a point.
