TH55, bottled by BB&R. Silver-grey foil. Purchased in December 1996 direct from BB&R. A lovely dark mature brick red colour, 40% opaque. A Iittle subdued on the nose, showing black spiced fruit gums. So smooth on the palate with a lovely jellied red fruit that is balanced and attractive. Long red jelly finish. A bit too sweet and jellied to be ideal. 89/100.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
