GC70: red-brown, 40% opaque; very dry, with string white pepper. Liked.

1970 Gould Campbell, bottled by Clode & Baker. Dark brick red, 80% opaque. A bit of alcohol protruding on the nose. Sweet and delicious fruit on the palate, still quite youthful with fruit that still shows plenty of primary character. Lingering sweet red fruit concentrate on the finish. Showing rather well! 92/100. Double decanted 3 hours.

Note taken on 12/10/25 from sample kindly bottled on night. Colour is good. Sweet fruit on nose. Palate has sarsaparilla and red licorice. Thick texture. Fruit is delicious. Long finish. Good port.

45% opacity, mature red. Not much from the nose. Soft, silky entry, strawberry, caramel, vanilla. Slightly dry at the finish.
Later, filled out further, spice in the finish.
